Germany are pretty much through. With a win or draw, they're through in first place, and even with a loss they're likely to finish second. The USA, meanwhile, are through if they get a draw or win. On the other side of today's early kickoffs, one of Portugal and Ghana need a big result to make things interesting. A chart might help. So here's a chart:

Both matches have a role to play today, but for most around here the focus will be on the USMNT and Germany and a fair few on either side when it comes to rooting interest. That's assuming anybody here is actually watching the match and not still caught up in the whole Suarez four-month blanket ban situation.
