USA v. Portugal
Sunday, June 22nd | 11PM BST/6PM EST
Television Listings | Full Schedule
Hopefully you watched South Korea and Algeria just now, because aside from a spell early in the first half, that was one of the more fun matches of the tournament to date. The next one should have its fair share of action as well, even if Portugal are at less than full strength. The US are flying high after the win over Ghana, and with three points here, they would be the first team to secure qualification from the "Group of Death." That would be a tremendous feat for Jurgen Klinsmann and his squad considering that most expected them to finish third or fourth. Portugal weren't quite favorites, but their complete capitulation against Germany last week was entirely unexpected (though immensely enjoyable). It left them short on players, with Fabio Coentrao out injured and Pepe banned, and in desperate need of points today.
