Group F

Argentina's World Cup got off in the best manner possible, with three points and a Lionel Messi goal against Bosnia & Herzegovina. BiH got a late goal and made things nervy at the end, but they couldn't find an equalizer and left Argentina alone atop the Group F table. Today should be an opportunity for Messi to extend that lead, as Iran played out one of the worst matches of the tournament against Nigeria in their opener. The second qualifying spot is up for grabs, however, and regardless of what happens today, Iran could find themselves with a chance to progress if the nightcap--Nigeria v. BiH--finishes with a favorable result.
