Group E

After barely making it into the World Cup, France find themselves as favorites to advance from Group E due to a favorable draw. Their largely disappointing qualifying campaign was turned on its head with a stirring 3-0 victory in the second playoff leg against Ukraine, with two goals from Mamadou Sakho leading the way. The Liverpool defender will now be expected to play a large part in the French defense alongside Real Madrid's Raphael Varane, and while Franck Ribery is out, you'd still be shocked if France didn't win the group. Karim Benzema will lead the line, with a collection of other big names--Paul Pogba, Blaise Matuidi, Olivier Giroud, Mathieu Valbuena, Yohan Cabye--France will look to cement themselves as favorites.

Honduras find themselves on the opposite end of the Group E spectrum, with few expecting them to get much out of their time in Brazil. They managed to stifle England (at least when weren't busy stifling themselves) in Miami a few weeks back, and will look to do more of the same to get a result today. Anything from this one will be a bonus, with prospects of advancing largely dependent on performances against Switzerland and Ecuador.
