Dani Pacheco Finally Leaves Liverpool for Good

After years spent on the fringes at Liverpool, Dani Pacheco has finally moved on, joining Segunda outfit AD Alcorcon on a permanent deal that officially ends his time at Anfield.

From Liverpool's next great midfielder to unwanted spare part, Dani Pacheco's time in England has had more downs than ups since he arrived at Anfield from Barcelona as a 16-year-old. Today, after years of bouncing around on loan from Norwich City to Rayo Vallecano to Huesca, his time as a Liverpool player officially comes to an end as he has been allowed to join Segunda outfit AD Alcorcon on a permanent deal.

Alcorcon narrowly missed out on promotion to La Liga last season, and Pacheco will be hoping he can help the Madrid minnows to make it into Spain's top flight for the first time since their founding in 1971. He leaves Liverpool on a free, with the player and club agreeing it was time to move on despite a year remaining on his contract.

Though Pacheco never turned into the midfield star many Liverpool fans hoped he would become on his arrival from La Masia, most will have fond memories of the diminutive Spaniard who never quite made it but returned every summer to make a handful of pre-season appearances before heading back out on loan. In his time at Liverpool, Pacheco made five senior appearances.

All of us at the Liverpool Offside wish him the best of luck with Alcorcon this season and throughout his career.
