Origi Delays Decision While Tottenham Lurk

Liverpool target Divock Origi has delayed any decision over his future, leaving fans to wait another week or two to find out if he'll be coming to Anfield or not.

Liverpool fans hoping for a quick resolution to the Divock Origi transfer will have to wait, with the striker today saying he has multiple offers on the table and will spend the next week or two deciding his future. Anfield remains his most likely destination, but for now the club and fans will have to wait.

"I myself am still thinking about it," said Origi, speaking at an event in his hometown after returning from World Cup duty. "It is true that there are offers from all over Europe. Now I have to look carefully where I can grow as a player and as a person. I think it will be clear within two weeks of the most."

Liverpool are the only club who have had an offer accepted by Lille, and it's believed their willingness to loan Origi back to the French side has played a role. However, with other clubs—including Tottenham if rumours are to be believed—showing interest, it's possible others could propose similar deals.

It's also possible a side like Spurs could offer Lille more cash up front in lieu of loaning the starlet back to his current club, though in such a situation Tottenham's lack of Champions League football—something both Lille and Liverpool have—would mean Liverpool would likely still have the edge in negotiations.
