An unexpectedly busy morning for Liverpool, who don't tend to have much in the way of news on their matchdays. Preseason doesn't count, apparently, as we first learned about the club calling off the move for Loic Remy after the striker failed a medical, and now have confirmation that they'll be announcing their deal for Southampton central defender Dejan Lovren as early as tomorrow. The Croatian international completed his medical yesterday on Merseyside after the two clubs finally agreed on a price, and he'll become the third player this summer to make the move between the clubs.
Better news ahead for Liverpool fans. Dejan Lovren has completed his £20m move to Anfield. Expect #LFC to confirm on Monday

All as expected, then, which is where we essentially were at with Remy up until about an hour or so ago. In the case of Lovren, however, there don't appear to be any pre-existing conditions, and all should hopefully go through according to plan. The biggest question here is whether or not the defender joins the club for the remainder of their US tour, which will include matches against Manchester City in New York, AC Milan in Charlotte, and potentially a "final" in Miami depending on how they do in their first three matches of the Champions Cup.
