It may not match the headline grabbing Luis Suarez saga when it comes to transfer news, but Liverpool today continued to show their commitment to youth development by signing two Tottenham youngsters on free transfers after their contracts ran down at White Hart Lane.
Twenty-year-old defender Kevin Stewart spent much of last season out on loan at Crewe Alexandra and has previously captained Tottenham's youth squad. He now moves north to Anfield on a two-year deal, with the player confirming his move today on Twitter.
Delighted to have signed for @LFC! Its been a dream of mine from a kid! Thank you for all of the welcoming messages! #YNWA

He will be joined by 20-year-old, Chilean-born goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux. He spent time earlier in the season on trial at Liverpool, and after impressing U21 manager Alex Inglethorpe he agreed to a deal in principle to move to Liverpool when his contract expired.
