With one of Liverpool's longest-running transfer targets hours away from completing a deal and another whose sibling is/was apparently in town to discuss personal terms, the club are well on their way to a busy summer. The official opening of the transfer window on July 1 will usher in the formal announcement of Emre Can, and there's efforts to finalize a deal for Lille's young forward Divock Origi, who's impressed at the World Cup in three substitute appearances for Belgium. Perhaps the most exciting talk, however, focuses on Alexis Sanchez, with continued reports that Liverpool want to make a deal happen.
Maybe overly fanciful and possibly still linked to a partial player swap deal, but we're at least a month into rumors that are starting to transform into actual things. Maybe.
Liverpool still very keen to sign Chile and Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez. Other clubs interested too #LFC

Just Liverpool and everyone else, then. That's at least one for the Lallana can't be our marquee signing this summer smdh crowd, though, regardless of whether or not something works out. Surely they'll be up against stiff competition, with Juventus, PSG, and a host of Europe's other top clubs long rumored to be in the running.
Impressive at the World Cup and coming off his best season at the Camp Nou, Alexis would be a terrific addition to any squad, and were Liverpool to land him it would be one of their biggest transfer deals in recent memory--on reputation at the time of signing, a class ahead of Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho, and probably the best since they brought in the player who's widely rumored to be headed the opposite direction despite incurring a four-month ban from all football-related activities.
