Guys I’ve been waiting for this moment all summer. It’s here, and I’m thrilled.
Moments after winning the penalty that helped bring Liverpool level once again with Watford, new signing Mohamed Salah put the Reds in the lead.
A long ball from deep in midfield landed right in front of Roberto Firmino, who bounded into the box and forced Heurelho Gomes to come well off his line. Bobby Firm hit a chipped shross over Gomes and Salah ran up to the far post to force the ball in.
It wasn’t the prettiest goal, but it’s just fine by me. Salah has his first competitive goal for the Reds and, at press time, his side is leading.
