Watch: Coutinho Makes It 3-0 Against West Ham

Looking good!

At least we didn’t have to worry about The Most Dangerous Scoreline for very long.

Mere moments after doubling Liverpool’s lead over West Ham, Philippe Coutinho took advantage of defensive wobbling from their hosts and walked in the Reds’ third goal of the day.

After benefiting from the referee’s decision not to punish Gini Wijnaldum for hitting (probably accidentally but who knows) a West Ham player in the face, Liverpool launched into a blistering counterattack that the Hammers were clearly not prepared for. Daniel Sturridge drew pressure from West Ham’s abbreviated back line before laying off to Coutinho, who shimmied his way to near the penalty spot and pounded the ball into the back of the net while Adrian lay prone and helpless.

There’s still plenty of time and, as we Liverpool fans know all too well, even a 3-0 lead isn’t entirely safe. But it’s looking pretty good right now!
