Watch: Mane’s Half-Volley Puts Liverpool Up 4-0

Yowza!

Sooooo yeah! I think Liverpool are going to be okay!

Barely two minutes into the second half, Sadio Mane got himself on the scoresheet to all but put the game out of reach.

James Milner— who had come on near the end of the first half to replace an injured Alberto Moreno sent a long cross into the box from near the corner flag. The ball careened toward Sadio Mane, who had positioned himself within spitting distance of the far post largely unopposed. Mane lifted his leg and hit the ball on the half-volley, sending it past the keeper and into the back of the net.

At this point it’s hard to imagine Spartak coming back. The knockout stages beckon, my friends.
