Yeah Bobby!
Just a couple minutes into the second half, Liverpool found themselves in a bit of trouble. Brighton had come very close to getting on the scoreboard, with a shot only being kept out by some quick thinking and lucky positioning by Simon Mignolet.
Liverpool recovered from this close call by kicking off another blistering counterattack. Mohamed Salah led two Brighton defenders on a harrowing journey to their own box. Right outside the 18, Salah laid it off to Roberto Firmino, who had been coming up the rear in support. Firmino received the ball well inside the box and with no real challenge. The finish was clean and inevitable.
For a few moments Liverpool had a comfortable 3-0 lead. (They went on to concede a penalty a minute later, so we can’t relax quite yet.)
