Watch: Coutinho’s Tricky Run & Low Shot To Open The Scoring For Liverpool

Slippery!

Bournemouth Away was always going to be a source of shot nerves. Going 20 minutes without a goal wasn’t making things better for Liverpool as they tried to take the lead. But by and by, the Reds found their opening.

Philippe Coutinho darted into the box and, with the ball orbiting his feet, made some tricky spins and maneuvers around several Bournemouth defenders. Finding a small pocket of space to work with, he slipped his last marker and hit a daisy cutter toward the near post. The keeper couldn’t get to it in time and the ball rolled over the goal line and into the back of the net.

Liverpool are up 1-0 against Bournemouth now, and while there’s a lot of work to be done and plenty of time for things to go sideways, this is inarguably a good start.
