Watch: Joel Matip Doubles The Lead VS West Ham

Yeah Joel!

When it rains it pours!

Not even three minutes after Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the lead after a terrific counterattack, the Reds doubled the advantage over West Ham United.

This time it was from a corner kick. (Can you even remember the last time we scored from a corner kick?!) Salah’s delivery found Sadio Mane, who flicked it on toward goal. The shot was blocked but the ball landed at the feet of Joel Matip, who was milling around just inside the six yard box. Matip easily managed to poke it past Joe Hart to give Liverpool the 2-0 lead.

So far so good! And what a great thing for Matip, who had recently come under fire for some lacklustre defensive performances in the past month. It looks like the Reds are starting to pull themselves together. Keep it up!
