Wow. Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow.
With time ticking down in the second half, Liverpool continued to protect a 1-0 lead against Stoke City. The hosts were forcing their way back into the game and managed to create some threatening chances, which Liverpool only just managed to repel. Another goal would’ve gone a long way toward solidifying the Reds’ position.
And in the last 15 minutes of the game, Mohamed Salah obliged.
The Egyptian international lurked unmarked at the far post as Sadio Mane sent in a cross from the touchline. Salah raised his leg as the ball sailed toward him and he hit it on the volley, sending it careening past the keeper and slamming into the back of the net.
Liverpool are now up 2-0 with less than 10 minutes to go.
