That didn’t take long at all!
Moments into the first half of Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Maribor, the Reds found a way to take an early advantage. In the 4th minute, Mohamed Salah led the charge in a two-man counterattack. Bursting into the box on the right-hand side, Salah threaded a cross through three defenders en route to rendezvous with Roberto Firmino, who was coming in hot at the far post.
The pass was inch-perfect, slipping past Maribor defenders and rolling right up on Firmino. The Brazilian side-footed a shot past the keeper and gave Liverpool a 1-0 lead. All before the crowd even had a chance to catch their breath.
More of this, please!
