After giving up a late lead in their first match at Euro 16, England have turned the tables against Wales. Gareth Bales scored a free kick just before halftime to put the Three Lions down a goal. Jamie Vardy equalized after the break. The match between the two rivals appeared to be headed for a draw when Liverpool' Daniel Sturridge popped up in the 92nd minute to find the winner.
It wasn't the prettiest of goals he'll ever score, but it's definitely one of the biggest as he's given England their first win of the tournament and have catapulted them to the top of their group. A huge goal for Sturridge and for England!
The Liverpool striker didn't start the match, but came on as a halftime sub as things were going badly for England. He replaced Raheem Sterling and eventually played the role of hero. Hopefully this will show Roy Hodgson that he needs to be given more playing time and he will be get it as the tournament rolls on.
