Less than a minute after coming on as a substitute, Daniel Sturridge has extended Liverpool’s lead over Stoke City to 4-1 after capitalizing on a horrendous defensive mistake by a defender.
An awful mistake by Ryan Shawcross put the striker in on goal, with a little cheeky move he danced past the goalkeeper and slotted in the club’s fourth goal of the day to all but clinch the three points.
This is Sturridge’s first Premier League goal of the season and his first since April. Hopefully this is exactly what he needs to boost his confidence heading into the second half of the season.
