England have taken a 2-0 lead over Scotland in the second half of their World Cup qualifier. After Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge gave the Three Lions the lead in the first half, his club teammate, Adam Lallana, has doubled it.
The Reds midfielder has been instrumental in Liverpool’s early season success and has continued his great form on the international level:
A nice passing sequence by England ended with Danny Rose finding Lallana unmarked in the middle of the box with a great cross. He made no mistake with his header and put his country up 2-0.
England are well on their way to extending their lead atop Group F in World Cup qualifying and Liverpool are a big reason why. No need to fear Reds supporters, the international break is apparently not enough to cool our boys down. Now we just need them all to get back healthy and ready for more League success.
