It may be the dreaded international break, but that hasn’t stopped Philippe Coutinho from continuing his unbelievable form that he’s begun the 2016-17 season with. While representing his home country of Brazil in a World Cup qualifier against their bitter rivals, Argentina, he went and scored this fantastic goal:
After a mazing run through the heart of the Argentina defense, Coutinho struck a perfect shot from outside the area right into the upper corner of the net to give Brazil a 1-0 lead at home. Neymar added another before halftime and that’s where the score sits as of posting.
Phil is no stranger to scoring amazing goals, especially from distance. He’s done it so many times for the Reds. Now he’s doing it on international duty after several years of being ignored by the national team.
Hopefully this will lead to him getting an increased role with Brazil leading into the World Cup. He deserves to experience the world’s biggest tournament after his fantastic work.
