Liverpool have opened up a two-goal lead against West Brom in the first half. After Sadio Mane finished off a brilliant team goal earlier in the half, Philippe Coutinho has given the Reds another one.
After receiving a throughball on the right flank, Coutinho cut onto his right leaving two West Brom defenders in his dust, and finished with a curling strike to the near post.
It’s the Brazilian magician’s fourth goal of the season and it’s a big one. If Liverpool get the three points today they would temporarily go top of the table.
A great start for the team today against a respectable opponent. They’ve looked the better side throughout the first half. Can they keep it up?
