Every month, the BBC's wildly popular highlight review show Match of the Day holds a vote to determine which goal the public believes is the best of the month. Obviously, Philippe Coutinho's stunning match-winner against Stoke City was a nominee for the August award.
The other seven nominees were:
Ross Barkley, Everton
Georginio Wijnaldum, Newcastle United
Bafetimbi Gomis, Swansea City
Olivier Giroud, Arsenal
Sergio Aguero, Manchester City
Riyad Mahrez, Leicester City
Callum Wilson, Bournemouth
--------
With 29% of the vote, Coutinho's belter took home the honor.

Scoring amazing goals is becoming old hat for the Brazilian. Time and time again, he's able to pull of things that leave you astonished. For anyone who has been living under a rock for the last month, here's what the goal looked like:

It's just another award for the talented 23-year-old's trophy cabinet. There will surely be many more to follow. Are you happy that the goal was voted the best of the month over all of the others?
