Millwall Pushing for Late Ojo Loan Deal

We could think of better landing spots for the young man.

With the transfer window winding down and the Reds content with the squad depth, any last-minute dealings are going to involve young players going out on loan, and by the looks of it, the very last to go could be Sheyi Ojo.

According to Caoimhe O’Neill and Simon Stone, the Lions are pushing for a late season-long loan deal for the once highly-touted 24-year old, and are reportedly looking likely to get it.

Known mostly for hooliganism, persistently booing anti-racist gestures, and getting their ass beat by Elijah Wood, Millwall are one of the more explicitly disagreeable environments in the English football pyramid, and one could think of more desirable places for a young man to go play his football.

Needs must, however, and after a middling season at Cardiff City last year — the seventh loan spell in his career thus far — suitors weren’t lining up for the MK Dons youth product who desperately needs playing time at this point in his career.

Hopefully, Ojo can have a productive season in order to set up a permanent move next summer, and doesn’t have a terrible experience in a place where terrible things consistently happen.
