Spurs Interested In Ozan Kabak

The center-back will need a new home this summer.

Ozan Kabak joined Liverpool on loan in January from Schalke and did exactly what Klopp needed him to do — bar an unfortunate injury. That couldn’t be blamed on Kabak though. He was probably hit with the Liverpool center-back curse. From the moment that the papers were signed, his uninjured days were numbered.

But now the Reds have Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip returning for the next season and Ibrahima Konate brought in, and Liverpool have opted not to keep Kabak at Anfield next season. They had the option of making the loan move permanent, but declined in favor of their big Konate signing.

Now it’s come down to who will pick up the Turkish center-back, and the rumor is that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in acquiring his services this summer. Transfers for Spurs are complicated by the fact that they currently do not have a permanent manager, but regardless, work needs to be done to rebuild the team that ended last season in a disappointing seventh place in the Premier League.

But Spurs aren’t the only interested party. It’s said that the likes of Roma, Lazio and Napoli are also considering adding Kabak in this window.
