After a protracted summer of “Will Jadon Sancho move to Manchester United or not?”, it was inevitable that such chatter would return with the end of the season and the reopening of the summer transfer window looming. Via a series of tweets from pundit Jan Aage Fjortoft, Liverpool FC have been linked with a move back home for the young English international, sending the online fanbase into a frenzy.

Manchester United still going for him.
Liverpool/ Klopp also very keen on the player, but have to sell either Salah or Mané to have the necessary money for Sancho’s fee
Of course, Jürgen Klopp would be interested in a player as talented as Sancho... but in this case, it really does seem like a whole lot of nothing. For a club that just reported a £46million pre-tax loss, the odds of the club breaking the bank for a major signing this summer will be very low unless one of Liverpool’s superstar attackers depart. Even with Salah and the club’s contract renewal stalemate, it seems really unlikely that the club will be letting him go this summer. As for Mane, after a down year, it’s just not very plausible that the club will be flooded with offers for him. As lovely as this would be, this just feels like Manchester United trying to drive the price down again.
