The rumour mill has been in overdrive this season for Mohamed Salah, churning out piece after piece of transfer gossip. First, it was the captaincy snub, the displeasure after a sub... and of course, we can always count on the Egyptian King to be linked with Real Madrid or Barcelona.
But wait! Here’s a person who doesn’t actually think such a transfer is possible - or even feasible, in a market reeling from the effects of COVID-19. La Liga President Javier Tebas has chimed in on the matter to Egyptian TV station ON Time Sports.- and it’ll sound good to Liverpool FC fans:
We are at the same level as the Premier League, the difference is the audience, they have a bigger audience in Europe and we have our huge base in the Middle and Far East.
An arrival of Mohamed Salah in La Liga? With the current financial situation, it is very unlikely that Liverpool will sell Mohamed Salah or that a club will sign a big name this summer.
I definitely hope that he joins La Liga but I don’t expect big money transfers this summer.
