Liverpool have once again been linked with AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie. Kessie’s contract ends in 2022, sparking links with big names in European football. According to the Italian press, the Ivorian football player may push for a move in January.
This would, of course, be Milan’s last chance to get some money back from the player if a new contract can’t be negotiated. In addition to Liverpool, apparently Paris Saint-Germain are also interested, though it’s unclear how much business the French giants will be doing in the winter, given their heavy summer spending.
Liverpool have been linked with a bevy of midfielders over the past year, including Kessie, after Gini Wijnaldum headed to PSG himself on a free transfer. In addition to him, Xherdan Shaqiri also moved on as well. The club have yet to bring in a replacement for either of them, though their midfield arsenal of Naby Keita, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Thiago Alcantara, Curtis Jones, Fabinho and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is doing well so far this season.
It would not be surprising to see Liverpool add to their midfield ranks this winter, and the 24-year-old Kessie could be a candidate for the job.
