Liverpool FC has surely heard all our wringing for the signing of a senior center-back option, and are responding by making an approach for yet another youth player.
❗️NEW: Liverpool want to sign Brazilian forward Kayky from Fluminense. They've been scouting him for a while, and contacted his staff in recent days after getting to know about a bid from Shakhtar. [@PauloFBS - @NETFLU] pic.twitter.com/97q4sQ3P18

This time, it’s 17-year old Brazilian forward Kayky. The Reds are believed to be competing with Shaktar Donetsk for his signature, with Manchester City also monitoring the situation. Dubbed the “Left-footed Neymar” in his country, Kayky was also the top scorer in the Brazilian Under-17 Championship, a competition that Fluminese won. Although he hasn’t featured in the first-team yet, he is believed to be good enough for that level, but also wants to ply his trade in Europe eventually, making this move a possibility.
The journalist and outlet did also break Liverpool’s recent transfer for goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga, also from Fluminese, so this does appear to be legitimate. With three Brazilians in the first-team and his familiar face in Marcelo, Liverpool FC could just be the place for him to expand his game.
Speaking of Marcelo, the gangly 6ft 3in shot-stopper has taken to life quickly at the AXA Kirby Super Mario Kart Training Centre. He has featured in three games for the U18s and was recently given a promotion to the U23s with Barry Lewtas. He was in goal for the 1-1 draw with Everton earlier this month.
