Coronavirus can’t stop the transfer gossip rumour mill, and no one has garnered more interest by Liverpool fans than the RB Leipzig player Timo Werner. The German is set to leave the Bundesliga club whenever the season ends and the transfer window begins. His destination of choice appears to be with Klopp and the Reds.
Now, according to some sources, Werner has begun taking English language lessons in an attempt to prepare himself for a move to England to join the Premier League.
While Inter Milan are also interested in the striker, journalist Christian Falk, BILD Head of Football, debunked that possibility in an interview, saying, “Werner won’t go to Inter. There are already meetings scheduled with Jurgen Klopp. Liverpool are the big favourites to buy him in the summer.”
Werner seems on a course for Merseyside, potentially becoming Klopp and the transfer committee’s next big, splashy transfer after a few windows without much action.
