You know you love Dejan Lovren. Don’t lie to me. He might not be your favorite Liverpool centre-back, but you absolutely like him. The guy seems to be a delight, and his friendship with Mohamed Salah has entertained us all for years.
Despite that, all of the rumours seem to say that the Croatian is set to leave Liverpool in this upcoming transfer window. According to Italian news sources, Serie A outfit Roma is the player’s most recent suitor.
According to the news, Roma has been priced out of their pursuit of Manchester United defender Chris Smalling, who has been playing in Rome on a loan, and so they’ve turned their attentions to Lovren instead.
Lovren has had a rocky career with the Reds, but he can still boast a Champions League medal with the club. Additionally, he was also part of the Croatian team that made it to the World Cup final just two years ago.
It does appear that this season will be Lovren’s last with the club — assuming, of course, that this season ever ends and we’re not all stuck in this endless purgatory forever. The question becomes where he’ll end up and how much Liverpool will get for him.
