Liverpool are said to be fighting on the losing side of a battle for Jandon Sancho. The highly rated Borussia Dortmund star is expected to leave the Bundesliga in summer/fall/whenever next season actually starts.
The 20-year-old who once played at Manchester City and left for Germany for only £8million is now said to be valued at £120million. Reportedly this is a larger price tag than FSG believe the player is worth.
Manchester United, however, need a serious quality boost in their squad and are willing to shell out the cash to bring Sancho back to Manchester.
It’s interesting to watch the football transfer mill churn out stories as if nothing has changed. However, with the huge financial hit that clubs will take after this long hiatus, it’s possible that the usual sky-high valuations of these players will simply be untenable. That’s leaving aside the issue of contracts and league games stretching well into the summer.
But not even a global pandemic can slow down the rumour mill, so we press on and see which of these rumours end up coming true.
