If the rumor mongers are to be believed, Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool have gone all Rob Gordon from High Fidelity, deciding on their Top 5 summer transfer targets.
The report, coming from Goal.com, seems to be less iron-clad reporting, and more “repeating various rumors that have already been floating around.”
Regardless, the “shortlist” rumor is going around, so here we are.
According to the report, and to the shock of no one, Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho tops our transfer target list. The 19-year-old continues to impress, and continues to be linked with these all-conquering Reds.
Moving along, they claim that Liverpool are in for Sevilla defender Diego Carlos, which again, has been rumored for months now.
The “shortlist” is rounded out by Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, 17-year-old Wigan forward Joe Gelhardt, and Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali, currently with Serie A side Brescia.
Goal also reports that these targets are for summer, claiming that Liverpool’s January incomings ended with Takumi Minamino from Salzburg.
Great. Well, with that settled, we’ll just have to get back to the business of winning as many things as possible before the summer transfer window opens.
