According to reports out of The Athletic, Liverpool scouts and Michael Edwards’ Magical Laptop of Destiny are tracking the availability of Norwich City duo Emiliano Buendia and Jamal Lewis.
Despite an almost guaranteed relegation on the cards for the 20th placed Canaries this season, they have impressed with some exciting, attacking football. Attacking midfielder Buendia and left-back Lewis have been an integral part of this wonderfully exciting, but ultimately unsuccessful, campaign.
If the interest in Buendia is true, at least one writer at TLO Towers will be made up (better start prepping that Scouting Report, Audun). The 23-year-old Argentinian has 7 league assists in 21 appearances so far, meaning he has assisted roughly one-third of the goals scored by Norwich this campaign.
Jamal Lewis, on the other hand, is rumored to be a possible back up for our previous bargain bin buy from relegation fodder, Andy Robertson. At 21-years-old, the Northern Irishman would have time to grow into the role.
It’s an interesting set of rumors, and put out by a source with several club-connected journalists. We all know Mikey E. loves scavenging the corpse of a relegated team before they end up in footballing purgatory (The Championship), and these players might just provide another opportunity to do just that.
