As expected, Liverpool Academy graduate Ryan Kent has completed a permanent move to Rangers FC. The 22-year-old came off of a successful year long loan spell with Steven Gerrard’s side that was been parlayed into a permanent transfer for the young Scotsman.

The deal is said to be for around £6.5million initially with £1m in potential add-ons. The club also negotiated 20% of any future sale of the player. It was finalized on the last day of the European summer transfer window. This looks to be a positive move for everyone involved. Kent, who only made one first team appearance for the Reds, had a huge impact at Rangers, making 40 appearances and scoring six goals.

In fact, his performance earned him the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year last season. The promise of consistent, first team football with a side competing in Europe has to be very appealing.

Meanwhile, Liverpool earned a neat sum for an Academy player with sum a limited first team experience.

That should be the last move for Liverpool in this transfer window.
