The January transfer window looked like it would go out with little fanfare for Liverpool, who sit five points clear atop the Premier League table. But a last minute miracle seems to have come through: Paul Joyce is reporting that Fulham have apparently submitted a deal sheet to try and sign Lazar Markovic on a permanent deal.
Will this be the one that lasts? Will it be the one that finally sees Markovic, a player who has been surplus to requirement at Liverpool for more years than I’ve been alive, find his forever home?

That tweet is all we know so far, but with Markovic’s contract expiring at the end of this season, Fulham’s last ditch attempt is the final chance that the club has to offload the player for some money.
Chances are that this one will fall through too, but if FSG can finagle a little cash from Fulham for this player, that would be a nice surprise at the end of an otherwise expectedly dull January transfer window.
