It’s international break and that can only mean one thing: wildly speculative transfer rumors. Today we have Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, who according to the Daily Mail, has become “unsettled” in the Bundesliga.
He is reportedly being pursued by like, all of Europe, with Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Real Madrid all “registering interest.” If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you were just spitting out those big names (margin of error: +/- United) to boost those clicks.
Anyway, the reporting goes on to speculate that the 19-year-old striker is upset after being hooked after just 36 minutes against Bayern Munich (didn’t help Dortmund too much, Die Roten still won 4-0), and is now agitating for a move. But he won’t come cheap, with some estimates putting his transfer fee over £100 million.
It seems likely that Liverpool will be in for the next generation of attacking talent in the summer, especially after a quiet transfer window just gone. And with #Mbappe2020 apparently not happening, Sancho seems like a real possibility. For now, though, it’s purely speculative.
Liverpool is a big name to include in your transfer rumor, even when they aren’t the Champions of Europe. Which, if you haven’t been paying attention, they very much are.
For now, it’s probably best not to count on #Sancho2020 either, at least until some more solid links emerge.
