It’s all happening. The Echo are reporting that Nabil Fekir has completed a medical in France ahead of his £48.4m transfer to Liverpool. Michael Edwards and the Liverpool medical personnel are in Paris getting the business done before Fekir leaves for Russia with the French nation team.
During the medical procedure, Fekir was checked over and passed with flying colors. The French attackers knee was even given a second look by experts and apparently the news was good and it’s all systems go.
Earlier reports claiming false information about Fekir’s move to Liverpool from Lyon’s president are proving to be only business speak from Jean-Michal Aulas, just as expected. Lyon are obligated to their shareholders to provide concrete numbers and Aulas will have been aiming to allay concerns over anything that could affect the French club’s share price.
Fekir will become Liverpool’s second-highest transfer after the signing of Virgil Van Dijk in January. He will join an attacking line-up under Jürgen Klopp that is already one of the best in Europe and has the best goal celebrations in all of world football.
Keep your eyes peeled for more as an official announcement from Liverpool should be incoming in a matter of hours.
