The 26-year-old Brazilian-born Italian international will be in high demand this summer, and according to the almost never reliable Mirror, Liverpool are confident of securing his services ahead of rivals Manchester United. Arsenal are also rumored to be interested.
According to the report, Jorginho has been impressed with the success of fellow Brazilians Roberto Firmino and the other one under boss Jürgen Klopp. Apparently he’s interested in becoming the latest Brazilian Anfield sensation. Cool. This, the article suggests, makes Liverpool favorites over their English counterparts.
The article goes on to state that Jorginho could be had for a fee in the neighborhood of £50 million, which is perhaps the least believable part of all in this inflated market.
Despite The Mirror being The Mirror, it does seem as if Jorginho is a top target for Liverpool this summer. With the addition of Naby Keita, the likely loss of Emre Can, and other links to players such as Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi, it looks as though Klopp’s midfield will look completely different when the Reds kick-off the 2018/19 campaign in August.
