Rumor Mongering: Liverpool Interested in Lyon Starlet

If rumors out of France are to be believed, Liverpool are interested in a Lyon academy product, 18-year-old midfielder Mohamed Bahlouli. According to reports, Liverpool are monitoring the contract negotiations between Bahlouli and the club, hoping for a swoop for the player in the summer if the situation presents itself.

Bahlouli, by some media outlets, is being dubbed “the next Philippe Coutinho.” The Barcelona tattoo is a dead giveaway. That’s a joke, I actually have no idea what his tattoo game is like.

Tattoo game aside, Bahlouli is reportedly interested in a move to Anfield, and a big fan of Jurgen Klopp, so at least the lad has good tastes.

The starlet has yet to make a senior appearance for the Ligue 1 side. This doesn’t necessarily bode well for a move to a Premier League giant. But of course, there are late bloomers, and Klopp has been known to work well with youth players.
