Everyone named Emre! Jürgen Klopp either has or has not set his sights on bringing over young Emre Mor from Borussia Dortmund this summer. Mor is a Danish-born winger who arrived in Germany last year, signing a five-year contract with Dortmund after Liverpool reportedly were also hot on his heels.

So this could just be some old business that’s being drummed up to look like new business. Used car salesman kind of stuff. But the implication is that Liverpool have been tracking Mor’s progress all season and may be willing to consider the youngster as an alternative to Mohamed Salah. My goodness.

Mor played just eleven times for Dortmund this season, starting five of those matches. He’s nineteen. He’s a player to develop for the future. Regardless of your place on the Salah meter, Emre Mor is hardly a worthy alternative to the Egyptian winger.

An interesting fact about Emre Mor, though, while we’re here: he spent his youth playing for the Danish national team but just last year made the change to represent Turkey at the international level. His father signed the necessary paperwork from jail.

The string of Salah-like players that will be linked to Liverpool in the coming days with be lengthy. They will come in all shapes and sizes. They will be young and old. They will be worthy and unworthy. And they will most likely be boring, save maybe the Gelson Martins types. Don’t get too caught up in watching the swirling vortex of rumours. The window is still closed. Stay inside for awhile and relax.
