Christian Benteke Agent: Liverpool Have Not Received New Bids

Though Crystal Palace, Everton, West Ham and Besiktas are linked with the player, an official offer has not been made in the past month.

Earlier in the summer, it looked like Christian Benteke's transfer exit was about to take place. But after a deal with Crystal Palace failed to materialize, Liverpool opted to wait out the market in hopes of fielding an increased bid later in the window.

Such a bid has not been received, though, according to agent Eris Kismet. And as the striker continues to be frozen out of the squad with Jürgen Klopp making it clear that he has no place in the team, it's unclear what the next step is for the club.

"We are waiting for any news but at this moment there is nothing concrete," Kismet said to the Guardian. "There are several teams interested in signing him so hopefully we can reach a resolution soon."

Among the interested teams are Crystal Palace, Everton, West Ham and Besiktas, according to the Guardian. But none of those sides have lodged a bid since Crystal Palace had their £25 million offer shot down last month.

Given the surprising lack of progress made in transfer negotiations, Liverpool might have trouble getting more money than the initial bid received in June. Or the club will be blown away by a last-second bidding war -- at this point, it's hard to tell where exactly this crazy transfer window is going. Either way, it's very difficult to imagine a scenario in which the striker is a member of the team by the end of the month.
