Klopp Willing to Give Luis Alberto Another Chance at Liverpool, Per Report

On-loan Liverpool castoff Luis Alberto has attracted attention this summer from a number of Spanish sides after his spell with Deportivo ended in impressive fashion, according to the Echo.

But his performance, which included six goals and seven assists this past season, has also put Jürgen Klopp on notice and may have earned him a fresh chance to succeed at Anfield.

While Liverpool are set to entertain offers for Alberto in the region of £4.6 million -- less than the £6.8 million the club paid for him in 2013 -- there will be no hesitancy to keep him at Liverpool if the right deal doesn't materialize.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder's agent Alvaro Torres admitted there was still a level of uncertainty surrounding his situation, though.

"He belongs to Liverpool and has to return. We have already been informed that he will attend the pre-season with Liverpool," Torres said. "During the transfer market in May, we know little. The first thing is to talk with Liverpool and see what opinion they have on Alberto."

Alberto's Liverpool future likely hinges on the other transfer moves Liverpool make (or fail to make) in the midfield this summer. But for fans hoping he'd get one last shot to prove himself at Anfield, news that he's made an impression on Klopp comes as a positive sign.
