I've got to be honest with you dear readers, my motivation to write this is practically nil. I would be content to continue sitting here in the dark, sobbing quietly into my bag of potato chips, using my formerly lucky (now decidedly less so) Liverpool kit to dry my red, swollen eyes. Last night hurt. Bad.
But. BUT! Something something about silver linings on dark clouds. Oh, rumo(u)r mongering, be my salvation today! Today's post-defeat gossip comes to us from Portuguese outlet ZeroZero, a 23-year-old midfielder plying his trade for Braga, Rafa Silva.
Silva is rumored to have a £15 million release clause in his contract, and has 6 senior caps for the Portuguese national team. He plays mostly as a left winger, and has contributed 12 goals in 47 appearances for the club, including 3 goals and 4 assists in 12 Europa League appearances. And now I've gone and made myself sad that we won't have European competition next year. Also, Manchester United are apparently in for him as well. So.
Anyway, it's hard to say how much truth there is to this rumor, but it should be an exciting offseason as Klopp attempts to mold this club in his image.
