Ezequiel Lavezzi admitted that this season would be his last for Paris Saint-Germain. Could Liverpool be his next destination?

Liverpool might be in the market for another forward in the future to broaden the club's attacking options. One player who could add experience and drive looks to be playing out his final season at his current club. Ezequiel Lavezzi has been linked to Liverpool before and could choose Liverpool as the club with which he can experience the English Premier League. This isn't fact, merely conjecture. Where has all this Lavezzi talk come from? A recent interview that apparently makes him potential target if certain unlikely things happen, but it's football so you can never rule it out Bob. Bob? Bob?

Anyway, Ezequiel Lavezzi "revealed all" in an interview with French TV programme Téléfoot.

The truth is I want to stay because I have a lot of faith in the team. This year we brought in players that really reinforced the team. I'm very happy for new signing Angel di Maria, it's always good to play with your friends. He is a great player, I hope he adapts quickly. I think it's my last year in Paris. But I'm okay and I want to finish it the best way possible. You never know what can happen. Today I want to stay, tomorrow we'll see.

These are the words that renewed tenuous links between Liverpool and Lavezzi. Don't blame the messenger when the message is out there somehow with ambiguous intent. He's been described as a "Reds target" in the Daily Mirror's round-up of Liverpool rumours but would need to start producing close to his Napoli form for any major English club to opt for the 30-year-old forward. The Metro seem to think that the Paris Saint-Germain player's words put Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester United on "transfer alert" without paying attention to the fact that two of those clubs don't and can't sign players anymore.

It's not going to happen, but if it does, we brought the news of this rumour to you first second third maybe fourth. Stay tuned for more transfer rumo(u)rs instigated by lost souls who cannot accept that the summer transfer window closed a very short while ago.
