With plenty of questions about the squad Brendan Rodgers selected for Saturday's friendly against Helsinki--and the match itself--most other Liverpool-related news managed to fly under the radar. There wasn't much else going on, to be fair, but the announcement of a transfer did work its way into proceedings less than an hour or so before things got going on the last of Liverpool's international trips in preseason.
It wasn't one for the senior squad, but Liverpool nonetheless confirmed that they'd secured a deal with Internacional for Allan de Souza, the 18-year-old with whom they'd been linked in the last month. The young midfield has been with the squad for the last few weeks, and while a deal isn't unexpected, the timing and brevity of the confirmation allowed it to go relatively unnoticed:
#LFC have secured Allan for the future and he's currently spending time with the Reds with the permission of his club, Internacional.

The 18-year-old was in the squad for the Helsinki friendly on Saturday evening but didn't feature, and it's not immediately clear was "securing his future" means for the short-term. Longer term, he's an exciting prospect, and one who appears to be worth the 500k that the club have reportedly paid to bring him to Merseyside. As with every other youth prospect, there's no guarantee that his move to Liverpool guarantees success in the first team, but for now it's another promising youngster to add to the youth ranks.
