Despite interest from Hull City early in the day and, more recently, an enquiry from Aston Villa, Liverpool will be holding on to Rickie Lambert today as according to multiple reports they will not consider sending the 32-year old out on loan.
Earlier, rumours had suggested that a loan move for the veteran striker wasn’t completely impossible, and that Liverpool were even lining up a potential replacement in Marseille’s Andre-Pierre Gignac, but such a move now appears completely off the table with confirmation Lambert won’t be leaving.
Aston Villa have made an inquiry for Rickie Lambert but Liverpool showing no signs of wanting the forward to leave.

Rickie Lambert won't be leaving Liverpool today. Lots of enquiries for him, including Villa, but for now he stays.

With this news, the chance of Liverpool making significant moves on deadline day appear to have shrunk to almost nothing. So far, the club have loaned out of young winger Sheyi Ojo, and there continue to be rumours they will complete a deal to secure Danny Ings’ arrival in the summer.
