For those of you hoping for Liverpool to put in a busy day transfer-wise, look away now:
Looks like a quiet day ahead for #LFC. No incomings/outgoings expected in terms of senior squad. Few youngsters could head out on loan.

This follows a similar comment from the BBC's Ben Smith earlier in the day, officially putting two of the most plugged-in Liverpool reporters in the "not much happening" category. While there's definitely moves out there that Liverpool could make to improve their first team, most of the rumors over the last couple of weeks have been pretty sketchy.
Without clear links and with January moves always tough to pull off, Liverpool are probably better off standing pat and not trying to go too big and risk making a move they regret sooner rather than later. The interesting thing will be seeing what youth players go where; there's probably half a dozen kids in the academy who could use a good home for the rest of the season.
Regardless of whatever does or doesn't happen, we'll still bring you whatever relevant news we come across as the transfer deadline approaches, so don't go away just yet...
