After starting off their Premier League season against the Canaries earlier this month, it’s Norwich City set to kick-off yet another competition for Liverpool FC as the Reds were drawn against their recent opponents in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Liverpool were given a bye for the previous rounds due to their involvement in European competition. They will travel to Norwich’s Carrow Road in the week commencing September 20, with a greatly changed lineup from the one that took on Daniel Farke’s side two weeks ago expected.

Jürgen Klopp usually rotates the team for the domestic cup competitions, and as a result the lineup should see a mix of some usual bench names such as Takumi Minamino, James Milner, and Curtis Jones in the starting eleven while a number of youngsters made the bench.

A few of those youngsters could even start, as there are already murmurs that a number of the club’s youth players could have key roles to play in the League Cup, with Kaide Gordon in particular expected to make his senior debut for the club in the upcoming fixture.

Liverpool are eight-time winners of the competition, tied for most with Manchester City.
