Amidst everything that is going wrong for Liverpool Football Club at the moment, Jurgen Klopp offered some good news during his press conference ahead of the Manchester City clash - it seems that Sadio Mane, Fabinho and Alisson may be returning to the squad soon.

“Sadio and Fab will be in parts of team training today. Then we will see,” Klopp said. “Ali feels much better, good enough to have an individual session today,” he added.

He also confirmed that Ozan Kabak has received international clearance and is available for Sunday’s game.

“In an ideal world you have a few weeks to work together on defensive things, organisation and all this stuff. Ben [Davies] and Ozan trained yesteday and had an analysis meeting where they were shown all the stuff we usually do, like a centre-half movie. Then today, proper session. Tomorrow, proper session, and we will see. I don’t know yet [who will play].”

He also seemed unbothered by the recent home record run being over, saying, “We still love playing at Anfield. It’s the best place. We were interested in the 68 (unbeaten games) in a row so let’s not make the two we lost bigger than they are. It’s about being positive, enjoying football and making it a fortress again.”

On the upcoming Champions League tie against RB Leipzig, he said, “Our people are working with UEFA and Leipzig. It’s not our decision. The German government said so far not possible but I think it would be good to make an exception. We are in a bubble and could play at Leipzig without spreading the virus.”
